Clean Up Bros
The Clean Up Bros are a Hard Techno Duo from the north of England. The guys produce high energy grooves and they aim to create fresh sounding beats combined with some of the traditional sounds in techno from the 90's and onwards. Richard Neville was born in Mirfield, West Yorkshire in 1982. Growing up he listened to various types of music, but it was electronic music and notable techno that grabbed his real attention. With having such an influential techno club as the orbit nearby to his home, he was able to see the who's who of the techno world on a regular basis as well as travel around the country to other nights such as Atomic Jam and Voodoo. Not content with the clubbing side of things, he started to take a keen interest in how the actual music he loved was made and since then has worked hard on developing a solid sound. Paul Howells also born in Mirfield in 1979. Heavily influenced by his father's Kraftwerk & Tangerine Dream collection, Paul got the electronic music bug at a young age. While he was at high school the rave scene was making shock waves all over the UK. It was then when he heard Carl Cox and this soon lead him to the whole Detroit & German techno alliance. With the legendary techno club the Orbit being close to his home, Paul was lucky enough to see the best of the best play on a regular basis there. He also travelled home and abroad to parties such as Atomic Jam, Bugged Out, Voodoo and Awakenings to get his techno fix. Over the years as a hobby, Paul has enjoyed collecting vinyl and dj-ing and over more recent years he's worked on developing his production skills. In late 2008 the two guys set up FDR otherwise known as False Dawn Records. They started producing and dj-ing under the name of the Clean Up Bros where they have appeared on various internet radio stations such as 04T and BPM-FM. They have recently released tracks on Badbrains as well as False Dawn with continued support from DJ's such as DJ Rush, Pet Duo, Eto & Gab, Viper XXL, Fatima Hajji, Daniela Haverbeck, DJ Daisy, Acid Flux and many others.
